Ferdinando Sorgente began his artistic journey in the graffiti scene, a foundation that shaped his unique visual language and continues to inform his research in painting. After graduating from the Artistic High School, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, where he refined his skills and broadened his vision.

Over time, Sorgente moved away from the graffiti world and developed a distinctly figurative style. His transition from wall-based art to painting was immediate, yet his line has always remained recognizable. In recent years, his work has evolved from an almost obsessive attention to detail toward a more essential, material approach — a dialogue between classical form and contemporary energy that defines his practice today.

Currently, Ferdinando Sorgente works from his atelier in the historic Palazzo Sannicandro in Naples and teaches as a professor at the School of Arts ETNA. His dual role as artist and educator allows him to continuously explore, experiment, and pass on his vision of painting as a living bridge between past and present.
